Installing Metamask

MetaMask provides the simplest yet most secure way to connect to blockchain-based applications. Please install MetaMask on your Chrome, Brave or Firefox browser via this link.

Write down your seed phrased and store them in a safe place. Never share this information with anyone and DO NOT save it as an image on your phone or PC.

Connecting Metamask to Avalanche C-Chain

1. Login to MetaMask on your browser.

2. At the top of the Metamask interface, select the network dropdown menu.

3. Select Add Network.

4. A new Metamask tab will open (like the above image) and you can continue to fill in the Avalanche Network information: a) Network Name: Avalanche Network b) New RPC URL: https://api.avax.network/ext/bc/C/rpc c) Chain ID: 43114 d) Symbol: AVAX e) Explorer: https://snowtrace.io/

5. Select Save.

1. Open Metamask on your browser.

2. Select Import tokens.

3. Enter the information for the token you wish to import (you can find this easily on snowtrace.io)

4. The token information will usually auto-fill.

5. Select Add Custom Token to save.

Always double-check the token contract address to ensure it is not a fake version.

Your Avalanche-compatible token is now viewable in Metamask via the Avalanche network. You may repeat this process for other tokens if you wish.
